The Fitchburg Verona Rotary Club is pleased to welcome its newest member, Tim Beuthien. When asked why he became a Rotarian, he explained why the decision was an easy one for him.

"In August of 2017 my family moved into Fitchburg in the Verona School district.  The following August I started a career working for Oak Bank as a credit analyst.  After settling in I asked if there was a local organization I could join to give back to the community I work and live in.  Already having a few Rotarians at the bank the support to join was remarkable, and they noted none belonged to the Fitchburg Verona club.  With the bank's recommendation, I was brought into a meeting and the fit felt perfect.  The first meeting I attended (as a guest) the presenter was from the Badger Prairie Needs Network (BPNN) and they informed how much the club helped historically and the growth for BPNN with new additions to their building.  I was hooked from this session and did not need any more time to determine I wanted to be a Rotarian.  Since then, I have been pleasantly surprised how much the organization can work together by offering our time and talent to meet the needs of the community as well as help fulfill the missions of other local, regional, national and even international Rotary clubs.  I look forward to helping the local community and learning about the ways I can put Service Above Self."

Tim is a Credit Analyst with Oak Bank, located at 5951 McKee Road in the City of Fitchburg.
